"Indians Cede the Land" Mural

The restored "Indians Cede the Land" mural hangs on the wall of the Park Ridge Public Library in Park Ridge. The piece, which was painted by Chicago artist George Melville Smith in 1940, was displayed at the Park Ridge Post Office until 1970.

If you haven't seen the restored mural, "Indians Cede the Land" in the Park Ridge Public Library, you might want to drop by the 2nd floor to view the 73-year old mural. Our Rotary Club supported the restoration with a cash contribution.
