On Sunday, October 14th, our Rotary Club purchased and served the weekly community dinner at Emmaus House in Lake Zurich. Thanks to Adam Keppel for organizing the event. Thanks to Jim Dopler, George Dorner, Lyle Staab, and Greg Cardelli and his family for volunteering at the event. It was our pleasure to serve fresh garden salad, fried chicken, vegetables, potato salad, and dessert.. Coffee and lemonade were also provided. There was also quite a bit of fried chicken left over to send home with our clients for another meal. After the dinner, clients could participate in the Sunday evening food pantry.. Thanks also to those core volunteers from Emmaus House that have been serving the community for nineteen years.
