District 6440 recently purchased one of the few remaining iron lung machines in the Unites States. It was on display at the Rotary 6440 District Conference last weekend. It serves as a stark reminder of the devastating effects of polio, and just what those impacted by the disease had to go through to get some temporary relief from the disease.
