On May 8, 2014 incoming president Linda Borton presided over our club assembly meeting.  Linda reviewed our accomplishments for the 2013-2014 Rotary year, and outlined our plans for the coming 2014-2015 Rotary year.  Our 2013-2014 accomplishments include another successful Santa run, addressing "the needs of those around us" on a local, national and international basis, support of the youth in our community, and a successful partnership with the Arlington Heights Memorial Library on our Job Seekers program. Our club also again supported the Immunization Clinic and the District 214 Rotary Reads program.  Our club was also able to achieve a net membership growth of six members.  For the 2014-2015 Rotary year, success for our club includes having a club member that is a champion for each program that we are involved in, developing year-to-year continuity of our programs, and also creating flexibility in the club budget so that we can be involved in attractive mid-year projects that were not included in the approved budget.  Success for our club also includes engaging all members in ways appropriate for each member, creating new member integration and retention plans, and building our "bench strength".  Also, due to the quickly approaching June 30, 2014 application deadline to secure district funding, the club will submit that application very soon.   Finally, please support our committee chairpersons because the club's success in 2014-2015 is directly tied to member engagement and support of their programs.  Our chairpersons include Membership Committee chairman Joe Musolino, International Committee chairman Glen Garlick, New Generations Committee chairman Mike Cassady, Community Service Committee co-chairpersons Dominic Gualtieri and Deb Whisler, and Rotary Santa Run Committee chairman Neil Schuefler.
