"Spring Cleaning For A Cause"

It’s Spring cleaning time! Cleaning out your closets can help Superstition Mountain Rotary Club raise needed funds. Club member, Jeffrey Mitchell, has worked to coordinate a fundraiser/partnership with Savers Stores. The Club will be paid 20 cents per pound for donated items through a 'FUNDrive', sponsored by Savers Thriftstore Company. This is a very eco-friendly program and will help the Club replace some of the funds we have lost/been unable to raise, due to the Covid-related cancellation of other fundraisers the Club normally participates in. If you have clothing, or household items to donate, Jeffrey Mitchell/or another Club member will be happy to come and pick the items up. There is also a Community Collection Day on April 2nd from 1pm - 6pm at City Hall (400 E Superstition Blvd). Community residents can personally drop off any donations at that time

The attached image covers items that can be donated.  To arrange for pickup or if you have any questions, you can call Jeff at (630) 297-9204 or email him at jmitchellrecr@gmail.com.

Upcoming service project

As part of this year's Rotary Week of Service, the local community service project being undertaken by Superstition Mountain Rotary will be painting hand railings at Apache Junction High School, which are in need of repair. It is not required that project participants be Rotary members - everyone in the community is invited and welcome to participate. Contact a Rotarian for more details about how you can become involved.

Generous Rotarian still at work!

As of March 10, Jeff Mitchell has presented over $1000 to the club for his volunteered automotive detailing services. The amount that would normally be paid to Jeff for detailing your car will instead be paid to the club. Jeff has extended his offer through the month of March, and is also now doing external waxing. You can contact him at (630) 297-9204‬ to get on his schedule.
