Beach Flats CC Fundraiser Great Success!

Last night was INCREDIBLE! I am writing to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for the support the Beach Flats Community Center (BFCC) received at the Cypress Lounge event.

You helped to raise over $4,000 in one evening! The checks are still coming in and I cannot thank you enough for all of your efforts. This was the most incredible example of community supporting community. You are such amazing friends.
 
A few people that I would like to thank in particular are the following:
  • Reyna Ruiz for her incredibly positive attitude and everything she does to keep the BFCC open and running so smoothly despite the challenges.  You are a phenomenal woman!
  • Ashton Hodge , the owner of Cypress Lounge, for the venue and appetizers.
  • Angela Chestnut for helping to coordinate everything, your boundless energy and enthusiasm are infectious.
  • Steve and Sambanova , the music was excellent!
  • Cypress Lounge staff for being so kind and professional.
  • Nick Guerrero and Vine Hill Winery for the fabulous wine.
  • Jeanne Yee, Three Paper Pigs , you are so talented and the BFCC pendants are gorgeous!
  • Ross Newport, SC Community Printers , for all of the publicity.
  • Lynn Robinson for the beautiful floral arrangement and your willingness to speak.
  • Laura Tobias and Bridges to Kinder for taking care of all the generous donations.
  • Ryan Coonerty and Luis Alejo for taking time at the end of a long day to attend and speak to us.
  • Dave Shuman, my very patient husband, Mary Miller, Jerry & Janet Souza for helping at the door, so I could visit with the rest of you.
  • Beverley Bryant and Kate Rascon for always taking photos.
  • Jeff Talmadge and Narine Kadekian for bringing me food!
  • Keith Henderson and ALL of the members of Santa Cruz Sunrise Rotary for their continued support of this essential project

Two days ago we received a $15,000 donation from an anonymous angel somewhere in Santa Cruz, and on February 5th our newly formed Beach Flats Advisory Committee will hold it's first meeting.  We have raised a total of $43,401 and are moving closer to our goal of raising $122,000 by June 30, 2009.

Once again, thank you for your continued support and tolerance of my endless emails :)
