The club’s board of directors met on Thursday, September 15, at President Amy Mutal's office. Highlights included further discussion of the treasurer's proposed budget for the 2022-2023 Rotary year, and another review of budget requests presented in August by the chairs community service and vocational service committees. Although the community service and vocational service budget requests were continued again to the October board meeting for further discussion and action, funding for the Rotary Student of the Month program and funding for the Warm Coats program were approved.

In addition, funding was approved to buy a Rotary table at the upcoming Attain Housing luncheon, and attending Rotarians are also expected to contribute at the event. The treasurer’s report for September was provided in written form, including updates on revenue and expenses. Another discussion about the price of dinners and the monthly loses ensued.

The membership chair's report was received. The fundraising committee updated the board on progress toward identifying a successor to the Duck Dash event as the club's principle fundraising endeavor. The board meeting schedule is published in the club's Calendar. Fall and spring meetings will be at Amy Mutal's business, and the winter meetings (November - March) will be via Zoom. Rotarians may view this month’s board meeting minutes and those of prior meetings on the Board Minutes page, which requires a log-in. A link also may be found at the bottom of the Spokesman.
