Chad Pendleton is Chief Executive Officer for UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement in Iowa, Illinois and Nebraska.  Pendleton oversees the portfolio of Medicare plans that more than 570,000 people in Iowa, Illinois and Nebraska rely on for their health care coverage needs. He serves seniors and other Medicare beneficiaries who have chosen UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D or Medicare Supplement coverage.

With nearly 20 years of building and growing successful health plans and improving consumers’ health outcomes, Chad brings deep expertise in the healthcare industry to UnitedHealthcare’s Medicare business. He previously served as chief executive officer for the Medicaid Health Plan in Kentucky for Humana and also the Corporate Market Leader for Humana’s integrated Medicare and Medicaid products in Illinois. Chad earned a Master’s degree in Health Administration from University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois and a Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Management from Southern Illinois University.
