Every summer, Sunnyvale Community Services gives away over 1,000 backpacks to low-income Sunnyvale children headed to school, this year being no exception with over 1,300 backpacks prepared. Brand new backpacks are generously donated by businesses and individuals throughout Sunnyvale, including our very own Sunnyvale Rotary, which are stuffed with school supplies so that every child can get off to a good start at school.

Volunteers from Sunnyvale Rotary helped with quality control of over 300 backpacks to ensure age and grade appropriate contents, and filled an additional 66 backpacks via the formation of a gigantic assembly line. Time flew by with all of the fun everyone was having being a part of making the children’s school experience that much more enjoyable with the addition of our efforts.

Thank you to everyone that made this event as successful as it was!
