Smallpox is the only human disease ever eradicated. Let's make Polio the second. North Bay-Nipissing Rotary, North Bay Rotary and Rotaract will be joining the fight against this disease on Rotary's World Polio Day - October 24th.

Join the cause on October 24th at 5:30 p.m. Walk the waterfront starting at the Rotary Gazebo wearing red "End Polio Now" ponchos to promote awareness of the fight to End Polio. Ponchos cost $10 with $5 going directly to the cause. Try to wear red if you don't purchase a poncho.

The walk will circle around to the Grande Event Centre (next to Cecil's) where chili for $5 a bowl will be served - with proceeds going towards the cause. There will also be a cash bar.

Rotarians and Rotaractors will also be "painting pinkies" for $1 donations. (When a child is vaccinated, they have a purple stamp put on their little finger giving them a Purple Pinkie. This prevents them from being vaccinated twice in the same day!)

In addition, we will be live streaming End Polio Day Events taking place around the world.

How can you triple your impact? Thanks to a 2-to-1 match from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, every donation made to Rotary to End Polio will be tripled. Join us on October 24th and help us to continue to Make A Difference!
