Candy Roll Meeting
Our morning meeting program today was a hands on project making candy rolls for indigent children in Mexico a heart warming project under the guidance of Rotarian Mike Landes. We stuffed a variety of candy into toilet paper cores wrapped with Christmas paper.
      

GOOD NEWS

Mike McDougal had good news about his granddaughter being in the soccer playoffs and wish good luck! 

Janet- announced she has had Physical issues for a while and finally has a diagnoses she will see a doctor in January 2018 - She also invited everyone to MJHS veterans program Friday and Saturday and volunteers are needed

Andrew- woohoo!!! Astro won

Peggy - is proud of her brother who has Rotary 50 years perfect attendance 

Shanon- has finally started on construction on his future new office building 

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS

November 14 is the next board meeting 

Montgomery Chamber will have a teddy bear drive at the December luncheon - Rotary should bring a bunch of teddy bears - these bears are donated to the local police dept for the caring bear program

SPEAKER - Mike Landes

Mike was introduce to the candy roll project 15 years ago - This is for the children who really have nothing in Mexico - He met a man - Charles who is spiritual and godly man - doing the project as a Mission project and the kids just loved the candy rolls - within 6 weeks Mike made his first trip with 7 donors - now have 140 churches helping - They meet a family in Alamo Texas - Ponsa Family- who help distribute the candy rolls into Mexico - they give out about 20,000 rolls - Our club helped roll candy rolls this morning...

Raffle- Mike Berger won the draw but he did not win the pot!
