Lewisville Morning Rotary hosts May 17 Wine Tasting
at Wine with (an) Appeal to raise funds for
Clubs Dental Equipment Global Grant Project in Tirrases, Costa Rica
In addition to the wine tasting, the club held a silent auction of items members such as Audra Johnson donated. Audra donated hand knitted items, others donated wine, coffee from Costa Rica and several others.
This event, led by our very own Tom Rowe (owner of "Wine with (an) Appeal") raised approximately $1,400 for the project. 36 members and guests enjoyed hearing about the fine art of wine tasting while sampling wines from throughout the world. Party goers learned about the wines, their differences, the techniques for sampling the wines and a lot of fun facts about wine in general. Most importantly, we had fun.
