A team of 11 LMR and local community members
to volunteer in Tirrases at Health Fair

In the wee hours of this Thursday morning, 5 LMR members, 1 LNR member and 5 community members will be leaving the airport bound for Costa Rica to participate in a community health fair serving the indigent population of Tirrases, Costa Rica. We will be partnering with the Rotary Club of San Jose Curridabat to serve 80 dental patients and many more medical care patients at the health fair Saturday, March 9th.
Team USA met last Sunday at Wine-with-an-Appeal for a get-to-know each other social where we had the chance to get to know each other and review the agenda for the entire trip. It was a wonderful affair...thank you Tom Rowe for hosting at your facility.

Fellow members Tom Rowe, Mark Smith, Dr. Jeff Siebert, Taylor Bancroft, Carolyn Wright, Dr. Audrey Stansbury (Lewisville Noon) and guests are headed to Costa Rica  for this hands-on International Service Project. Team USA will include local community volunteers Tom Ingram, Roxanne Ingram, Christina Stumpter and Kelli McDaniel. We at Lewisville Morning Rotary and our partners at the Rotary Club of San Pedro-Curridabat are deeply grateful for everyone's participation.

Of course, many thanks go our to Team Costa Rica who is doing a fantastic job of organizing the event.

Take a close look at the photo above it definitely include some notable celebrities including 2018-19 Rotary International President Barry Rassin (center), Carolyn Wright (just behind him), Rotary Club of San Jose Curridabat Club President, Ileana Jiminez and our LMR Club President Ray Bowen (last row on left). Of course, everyone in this photo is a celebrity, unfortuneately, we do not have all their names. This photo was taken at the Dental Clinic Ground Breaking last July.

Dental supplies donated by Dr. Jeff Siebert of Lewisville Morning Rotary

The mobile Dental Clinic is currently under construction as a result of a generous donation from a local community member. The Lewisville Morning Rotary Club and Rotary Club of San Jose Curridabat are partnering to obtain a Rotary Foundation Global Grant to fund purchase of the Dental Equipment for the Mobil Clinic. Total project cost is $56,503. We still need a few Rotary Club partners to pledge $23,542 to process our grant request. Rotary Clubs wishing to partner with us can pledge by clicking here.
