We are proud of the progress the Rotary Global Grant - India TEACH project has made. Lewisville Morning Rotary Club in partnership with Rotary Club of Nasik India is repurposing 10 schools in the tribal regions of India. A $39,300 project funded by The Rotary Club of Nasik, Lewisville Morning Rotary Club, Flower Mound Rotary Club, Lewisville Noon Rotary Club, Rancho Bernardo Sunrise Rotary Club, District 5790 and 3030 District Designated Funds, and a Rotary International Matching Global Grant.
After repurposing, the schools were equipped with restrooms, classrooms fully furnished, and solar panels were installed to power the e-learning computers and modules.
The teachers completed numerous of training hours and members from Rotary Club of Nasik volunteered countless hours to help make this a successful endeavor.
