Global Grant for TEACH Project is progressing

Lewisville Morning Rotary Club has partnered with the Rotary Club of Nasik in India to refurbish 10 schools in the tribal regions of India. This $39,300 project is funded by The Rotary Club of Nasik, Lewisville Morning Rotary Club, Flower Mound Rotary Club, Lewisville Noon Rotary Club, Rancho Bernardo Sunrise Rotary Club, Districts 3030, 5790 and 5340 District Designated Funds and a Matching Global Grant from Rotary International. The project includes refurbishing schools with fresh paint and new rest room facilities, school room furniture, e-learning modules, solar panels to operate the modules, training of teachers and hundreds of volunteer hours to perform the above mentioned work this summer while schools are closed.

 

The e-modules have arrived and training of trainers that will be working with teachers has begun. The sign at the left will be posted at each of the schools. As the project progresses, we will be sharing progress photo's and progress in this newsletter.
