Introduction and Police Department Update

Chief Brook Rollins was sworn in as the Lewisville Police Chief on February 1, 2024. Before Lewisville, Chief Rollins enjoyed a successful 22-year tenure with the Arlington Police Department.  There Chief Rollins served as a patrol officer, field training officer, detective, SWAT officer, CID supervisor, SWAT supervisor, Technical Services Commander, Patrol Commander, Personnel & Recruiting/Training Commander, and UAS Program Manager. Chief Rollins finished his career at APD as a Deputy Police Chief where he oversaw the Investigative & Tactical Support Division.  

Chief Rollins graduated with a BS in 2001 from Texas A&M University, and a MA from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2014. He is a Texas Master Peace Officer & Mental Health Peace Officer. He is a graduate of the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration School of Police Supervision and the 55th School of Executive Leadership. He is also a graduate of the Police Executive Research Forum's Senior Management Institute for Policing - 87th session (2023), and the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association Trilogy program. He teaches at the University of Texas @ Arlington as an adjunct professor.

 

Rollins is a graduate of Coppell High School. He and his wife have been married to  wife, Christy, for 21 years. They recently moved to Lewisville. They have three children.
