Our district is striving to increase the number of female members, with a goal 50.3% female Rotarians in District 5950.  As of January 1, there are nine clubs over 40%, listed below, and another six clubs over 35%.  The Rotary Club of Edina Morningside is at 30% with the last five year trends noted below:
 
 
 
 
District Governor-Elect Irene Kelly will be leading a breakout session at the mid-term assembly titled "What’s at the ‘Heart’ of the Case for Women?"  She will discuss the following with club leaders and members:
  • What new ideas and initiatives has your club implemented this Rotary year to impact increasing your club's percentage female membership?
  • What changes has your club made this Rotary year to become more vibrant and attractive to prospective female members?
  • Is there a female member of your club that has made a significant or unique impact on your club this Rotary year, or in recent years?  If yes, please provide a brief description of this individual and their impact.
