ROTARY IN ACTION: MATTERBOX SERVICE PROJECT

Register for this project in one-hour segments:
February 10: Noon to 1:00 or 1:00 to 2:00. 12 volunteers per shift
February 11: 4:00 to 5:00 or 5:00 to 6:00. 12 volunteers per shift
COVID precautions will be in place. Everhyone will be distanced apart. HYou must wear a mask.
Rotary in Action: The February Community Service Project will take a two-pronged approach:
- We’ll help the non-profit Matter by packing meals that will be distributed to community members in need. EMRC member Jeremy Newhouse directs international operations for Matter and is thrilled that we’ll be able to support Matter’s local work.
- Second, we’ll put together care/thank you gift baskets for local hospital workers who are directly supporting patients with COVID-19.
We have space for 12 people in each shift.

February 11: 4:00 to 5:00 or 5:00 to 6:00. 12 volunteers per shiftBoth projects will be done at the Matter facility in St. Louis Park in a socially-distanced manner. There are multiple ways you can assist with the project: help with the purchasing of products to go into the gift baskets, writing thank you notes that will be included in the baskets, helping to pack meals and arrange baskets, delivering gift basket items to Matter, delivering baskets to the hospitals, donating money. There are so many options, there’s really no excuse for us not to achieve 100% participation! More information will be forthcoming shortly, including a sign up link for volunteering to pack at Matter.
