Come and enjoy a tour of the newly remodeled and expanded Davenport Central Fire Station, hosted by our very own Fire Chief, Chief Lynn Washburn-Livingston.

"The Central Fire Station is located in downtown Davenport, Iowa, United States and serves as the headquarters of the Davenport Fire Department, as well as the downtown fire station. Built from 1901 to 1902, it is the oldest active fire station west of the Mississippi River. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places."

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Parking will be an issue as there is no public parking lot for the station. Parking will have to be on side streets or in the Harrison St. parking ramp so people may have a short walk.
  • Entrance will be on the Scott St. side. The large bay door on that side will be open.
  • The tour will be the first and second floor of the old station and the first floor of the new station. (They will not be taken into the living quarters due to the size of the group.)

*Box Lunches (sandwiches) will be served.  If you have a dietary request, please provide in the comment section of registration & we will do our best to accommodate your request.

*Guests-You may invite a guest, but please be sensitive to the fact there is limited space, at the fire station.  Guests and Senior Active Members will be the normatl lunch price of $13.00.
