All about Priobiotics

Our guest speaker, Bengt Jeppsson was one of the founders of Probi AB, a pioneering probiotics research and development firm founded in Lund in 1991. He will share the scientific basis behind pro-biotics, while co-presenter Ingvar Wirfelt, until recently the Director of Sales and Marketing for Functional Foods, will share some of the commercial challenges.

Probiotics are living organisms that are found naturally in foods such as yogurt, kimchi, sauerkraut, miso and kefir. They are known as ‘good’ or ‘friendly’ bacteria as they compete for space and food against harmful bacteria and prevent them from settling in the gut.
