Whats Happening in Cambodia Now

Did you ever wonder what has happened in Cambodia since the genocide of the Khmer Rouge in the 70’s followed by their 10-year civil war? Attend Troy Rotary’s June 9th meeting at 11:45 AM at FIREFIGHTERS PARK, Troy. Patti Lee will be talking about Cambodia, a country left littered with landmines and where 25% of its population was killed during the Khmer Rouge period.

Patti and her partners have been volunteering and supporting small villages in Cambodia since 2011.  Over the years, they have initiated many outreach programs including total financial support to 4 schools with over 500 students as well as needed wells, toilets and hand washing stations.

In recent years, their focus has become much more oriented towards sanitation and hygiene. They install toilets, wells, and hand washing stations for schools and for village families.

Patti will also talk about her work there and the fundraising that makes it all possible. She is a member of Toronto-West Rotary Club.

THIS WILL BE AN IN-PERSON MEETING WITH A ZOOM LINK FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T MAKE IT IN PERSON.

IN-PERSON DETAIL: FIREFIGHTERS PARK, 1810 W Square Lake Rd, Troy, MI 48098
