Dear members,

My "cabin fever" reached a peak this week - my self diagnosed remedy was two days flat chat in the garden.  Now, whilst the garden has never looked so good - I am on Voltaren tablets and ointment several times a day for back muscle strain.  Ouch!!    How are you managing these changed circumstances?    Do you have stories to share - are you having candlelit dinners at home with food and wine delivered from your favourite restaurant?    There is an opportunity at the start of our Zoom meeting on Tuesday to share your self isolation coping strategies.  You can either email them (with or without photos) to Mark or share them personally.
With limitations on how much service we can provide in the community at present, it's a good time to have a focus on more of the administrative aspects of the Club.  Richard will demonstrate another feature of Club Runner on Tuesday night and in the coming weeks we will review the Club goals and objectives as detailed in our 3 year Strategic Plan which runs through until June 2020.    You will find a copy of the Strategic Plan on the new website.   Do the goals need to change, are we meeting our goals as stated, do we have our focus in the right places?   Warwick Cavell has agreed to facilitate our input and is a competent user of zoom.    He is an experienced consultant and currently President of Rotary Central Melbourne.

I miss our dinner meetings and fellowship very much - the one on one personal conversations and the opportunity for interaction and feedback about our service projects, farmer's markets and other Rotary news is an important part of my world now.   I do look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the zoom screen on Tuesday - 7.15 pm for a 7.30 pm start.

I would like to extend our sympathy to Don and Glenis Heath on the passing of Don's brother in WA recently.  Our thoughts are with you Don and Glenis.

Stay well everyone.

Thelma
