We welcomed Tony Laycock to his first Club meeting as President for 2020-21. Tony was quickly into stride calling for matters of interest from members which included:
- Advice that the Club has received a $4000 grant from the Commonwealth Volunteers Scheme. This is most appreciated and will assist in equipping the Club and members to undertake their volunteer activities.
- There was some discussion about resuming Club meetings face to face and options were proposed. However, further Covit-19 restrictions announced on Tuesday will mean we will only be able to meet using the online Zoom technology for several more weeks.
Tony then passed the meeting over to Steve Wylie who has taken on the sergeant's role for this year. Steve immediately set a very high benchmark for himself when he worked members through an online quiz. Great start Steve.
