Rob Simpson jumped into the chairperson's role for this meeting and in his no-nonsense style ensured, for the main part, there were no sounds of dogs barking, TV shows or family discussions in the background during the online Zoom meeting. Rather than none of these things actually happening, I think Rob was controlling the mute button.
Many issues were raised during the meeting:
- The online District Assembly is on this Sunday 24 May
- All options are being looked at for how to stage this year's change-over night
- David Shave thanked the Club for the kind wishes for his partner Nola during her recent time of ill-health
- Rose Stewart has also been unwell but advised that she is on the road back to good health.
President Lili-Ann showed two very entertaining waggle dance videos and referred to some great distribution numbers as a result of "boosting" the posts on Facebook.
World Bee Day is 20 May and the Club has organised to have a zoom meeting to see the compilation of the waggle dance videos.
