A few weeks ago the Club, through the effort of Janet Hay, entered a video taken at the Multi-District Conference in February in a competition to promote the activities of rotary.  Today, the following advice was received from Gina Crowden:

I’m delighted to advise that your entry has won first prize in the Zone 8 Public Image People of Action Video competition for 2018-19.

Congratulations on your excellent video.   You obviously had a lot of fun putting it together and the “For a Meal” project you featured is certainly a great example of Rotarians in Action carrying out a very worthwhile project assisting those in need.

Past RI Director Noel Trevaskis has agreed that the three finalists in the competition will be featured at the New Zealand Australia Conference to be held in Christchurch in September.  We will also use social media to promote the finalists in the competition and will forward your entry to Rotary International who may showcase it through My Rotary and their various social media sites.

I encourage you to use the video as a means of promoting the excellent work that you do in the community.

Thank you once again for entering the competition, and congratulations on taking out first place.

Well done to Janet and to those who assisted her to prepare the video.
