Jennifer Grant joined us as our speaker at our August 10, 2020 meeting. She is a Community Resource Coordinator with Northern Counties Health Care, Inc. and she is involved with the Physically Health Community Action Network through NEK Prosper. She spoke to us about an exciting community wide wellness campaign called Energize Expedition. The recording of our meeting can be viewed here.
Energize Expedition is a virtual wellness challenge that encourages people in Caledonia and Southern Essex Counties to be active and enjoy all that our area has to offer for physical wellness. The program runs from July 1st - August 31st. Participants earn points by doing a variety of activities that include walking, hiking, biking, swimming, paddling and mindfulness activities. Anyone who earns 30 points will receive a sticker and be entered in to win larger prizes. You have until September 15th to submit your registration form. This is just one project of NEK Prosper - a collaborative group working to create communities that are physically and mentally healthy, financially secure, well housed and well nourished.
