The Concept

The idea of Rotary Redcliffe Sunrise hosting an Environmental Expo has been in the planning since June 2019. Various venues and programming elements have been looked at.  In order to maximise event exposure it was decided that Rotary Redcliffe Sunrise should join forces with Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism (MBRIT), the official destination management company for the Moreton Bay Region. https://www.mbrit.com.au/about

MBRIT have proposed for the Environmental Expo to be held at the annual Moreton Kids Festival on Sunday 18 October 2020 at Pine Rivers Park, Strathpine from 8am to 4pm.  At this stage MBRIT are very confident that the COVID19 event plan will be government approved.

Moreton Kids Festival is a ticketed event, targeted predominately for families with younger children in the 4-12 yrs bracket. There are five interactive zones to explore; Active Kids, Creative Kids, Green Kids, Fun Kids and Innovative Kids. Rotary Redcliffe Sunrise will be hosting the Environmental Expo within Green Kids zone with the themes based around SEA, LAND (incl. water), and AIR. Attendance in previous years has been around 10,000.   To find out more about Moreton Kids Festival visit

It is intended that children as well as adults are stimulated by many opportunities to interact with various hands on displays and activities. These hands-on and interactive stalls will have fun and engaging educational activities and plenty of giveaways. An interactive stage will feature educational presentations by knowledgeable speakers. The stage will be programmed predominately for adults, with an element of education for children.

How Can Rotary Clubs Participate?

The members of Rotary Redcliffe Sunrise believe that this Expo presents a perfect opportunity for Rotary, Rotoract, Interact and Earlyact clubs to showcase their projects and programs that fit with the Environmental Sustainability concept.  Therefore we are seeking your participation in this event as exhibitors or even as a volunteer.  Join with us and let’s showcase Rotary!
