• We had 16 members join us on Zoom for another great meeting.
     
  • Brian thanked members who had dropped off gear for Foodbank. Vicki will do a drop off on this coming week.  They particularly need baked beans, breakfast cereal, canned spaghetti, flour, pasta, rice, tinned fruit, tinned soup, tinned tuna, tinned vegetables and UHT milk.  They don't accept items in glass, or opened/damaged goods or food past its use by date.
  • Kaye updated us on the Anglicare appeal.  We have started the crowdfunding appeal.
     
  • Emma Wignell from Rotaract has offered to help with any shopping that members may need done.
     
  • Australian Rotary Health is trying to raise $200,000 by the end of June to go towards mental health issues which will come from the social distancing due to COVID-19 which will impact on some people.
     
  • Good news - the National Youth Science Forum 2021 is expected to go ahead. Applications are open now, and will close on 14 June.
     
  • The City of Kalamunda's draft Local Housing Strategy is out for public comment.
     
  • Thank you to Paul for putting in the Bulletin just what Rotary clubs around  the world are doing.  Paul has a great idea for our club which he will share next meeting.
     
  • Following the meeting, Greg, Franziska and Brian discussed Changeover. We decided on 11 July.  We may have to do it via Zoom, but we will book the Kalamunda Hotel again in the hope that by going later we may be over some of the gathering restrictions.
