The first VSC Meeting for the Rotary Year 2020/21 will be held on Zoom https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89931313432?pwd=TjY2R3hVNkoxUENtMmFlWDRMUVpuQT09 as follow:
1. DATE: 13 August 2020 (second Thursday of every month)
2. TIME: 7pm - 8pm
3. AGENDA:
(i) Overview of the plan for the year
(ii) Presentation by Industrial and Services Co-operative Society (ISCOS) on a vocation training project for ex-offenders. ISCOS will present the statistics on the impact of a particular vocation has on an ex-offender's earning potential and the collateral benefits to his family members. Come and find out what vocation this is and support the cause.
(iii) Presentation by Singapore Polytechnic on Career Preparation Course for Special Needs Students (our Club Major Project in 2018/19). Singapore Polytechnic will report on the outcome of the last course and present the proposal for a second edition of the course in the coming year.
(iv) Pilot Crowdfunding for VSC Projects: if the above two projects are approved, we shall test-run our crowdfunding protocol with these two projects. The experience gained from this pilot crowdfunding can be applied for future fundraising, in addition to our traditional methods.
