The first outing for the Chip Van was very damp at the Kepler Challenge - such a pity for all those dedicated runners but we still had a reasonable day.

Since then we've had the Van out at the Santa Parade, the Rodeo and of course, New Years Eve.  Takings are all comparable to last year although I'm not sure we can beat the record breaking day the Rodeo had back in 2018 where our gross takings were just over $5000.

Gross Takings this year (without the EFTPOS which Craig has yet to process) were:

2020 Santa Parade $1920 / 2019 $1985 / 2018 $1801
2020 Rodeo $2646           / 2019 $2538 / 2018 $5080
2020 NYE $1938             / 2019 $1951 / 2018 $1801

Of course all the expenses have yet to be deducted but as I say, looks like our takings will be very much like last year.

Big thank you to all those that have contributed to the operations this year - I always find it a fun day, always pretty busy and when the weather is kind, we do good - literally when we eventually put those takings back into the community.

We still have Waitangi Day to go as our final event and I now need to find some more volunteers to do the final day.

If you are able to help please let me know - I will have a Roster at the next Rotary meeting which is 21 January but it would be really helpful if you know now that you can help, that you email me by return to work as follows:

Sat 6 Feb - Lions Park
Set up approx 10am - Jane and Don (TBC)

Shift 1 - 10.45 - 1pm
Shift 2 - 1pm - 3.15pm

We need 4 volunteers for each shift - 2 to cook and 2 to serve

So please email or phone me if you are able to help and I'll bring along the roster on 21 January to get any spaces filled and then I'll email out the final roster on 5 Feb to remind you all.

Thanks everyone and thanks again to all those involved so far.
