Pat, has kindly provided an update on this special weekend that will celebrate our 50 Years.
On 4th April 1970 at a dinner held at the Wellington Overseas Terminal, Rotary International presented the Charter for the new Rotary Club of Tawa to the Club’s Charter President Eldon Armstrong.
Fifty years later the Rotary Club of Tawa will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of that evening with a weekend of activities starting with a reception on Friday 3rd April and finishing with a dinner on Saturday 4th April evening. During the weekend members and visitors are invited to take a tour of Tawa and inspect the numerous projects that the Club has been involved in over the past 50 years.

A book recording the Club’s history over these 50 years is being produced and will be available at that weekend.
Invitations will be forwarded out to members in early February as well as to past members including the four who were Charter Members of the Club in 1970.
