As I sit here checking emails and serving my 7 day Covid isolation it strikes me how quickly the year is going and how close we are to our next Rotary changeover.
I think we are all looking forward to a year which has less twists, turns and disruptions than the previous two years.

Prior to contracting Covid I was in Wellington and out and about - hopefully not a one person Auckland super spreader - and was struck by just how busy hospitality venues were.
While inflation is likely to be impacting on some retail spending it's also clear that most people want to return to life as they previously enjoyed it.

Still things have changed - social attitudes, working from home, post covid inflationary pressures, increased global tensions - and we can expect that Rotary will also need to be nimble enough to meet the challenges that those more macro changes present.

Being nimble in an organisational sense involves the emphasis on being flexible, open to change and where leadership is distributed so that everyone is looking for ways to improve the organisation rather than looking for one person to come up with the blueprint.
