In the past I have just glanced at the parts I thought were interesting and I believe many of us do. Since agreeing to give something for the bulletin I have gained much more enjoyment and knowledge of what is happening in Rotary in Australasia. What are the things we can take up to enhance Rotary in Papakura?

These comments are not made as suggestions to our club but do make interesting reading.

P. 4                               Embrace our young leaders – World Rotaract Week.
An interesting article. Rotaractors can support club activities and can also be
potential Rotarians.  To be successful it does require a club member to be their
            guiding mentor.

P. 5                                          Best Foot Forward
An interesting article re club STRONG WEBSITES. I believe we have a very strong
website. It has been well set up and Tracey is keeping it up to date. This short
article should be a must read as one will then feel proud about our club.

P. 6                                          The importance of “unimportance”
In any organisation is it true to say, “There are no unimportant jobs”.  At the
bottom of page 4 – THE INVERTED TRIANGLE – which reads onto page 7 is
interesting.  In this model with the triangle inverted, leadership is about
supporting our members, not the other way around.
We have been lucky over the last 2 years as both Bruce and John have worked to this principle. We are a lucky club.  THIS IS A MUST READ.

P. 9     Toastmasters and Rotary to unite.
Interesting read but do we have any reservations?

P. 10   Membership growth – A different perspective.
Again makes interesting reading, the philosophy makes sense.

P. 11   Warkworth war on waste
Is this a Rotary/Lions combined effort?

P. 37    Changing Lives for $25
An interesting read

P. 46    Kick-Starting Social Enterprise
What a Wellington Club are involved in – a kickstart programme

P. 50   Youth Exchange – gives young humanitarian wings
I am sure Jon and Tracey will read this with interest.

P. 51    Recycling Hearing Aids improve lives
Would be interesting to talk to an audiologist

There are many other interesting articles.
