BCITO is the largest provider of construction trade apprenticeships in New Zealand. It is appointed by the government to develop and implement industry qualifications for the building and construction sector.
Currently BCITO provides over 50 qualifications across 14 Construction Trades. (All trades in the building of a house, barring plumbing and Electrical).
Central to BCITO is the collaborative, positive working relationships with the industry to ensure it is continually looking to improve its service to its industries to meet their future needs.
BCITO arranges training and develops qualifications in a broad range of industries, as well as developing qualifications in Construction management, Architectural technology and Quantity surveying.
Currently BCITO has 11,600 apprentices in total of which 4,500 are here in the Auckland Area.
