Rotary in Australia and NZ have the opportunity to fundraise for Foundation’s End Polio now campaign. The release of the movie “Murder on the Orient express “ is the basis of the fund raising event. This is being released in Cinemas across Australia and NZ on Thursday 9 November.
The proposal is for clubs to sell tickets for $25 with the net proceeds to Foundation Polio Plus campaign. Any money contributed to Polio Plus will be matched 2 for 1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
The theatre for the movie is the Rialto in Newmarket. The movie will start at 6.30pm. There will be a short film clip before the start of the movie “Murder On The Orient Express” explaining what Rotary is doing for Polio. This movie opportunity is open to members, families and friends. It is a great chance to raise public awareness as to what Rotary has done and is doing to “End Polio”.
We are working in clusters for this event. Our cluster incorporates Newmarket, Parnell, Remuera , St.Johns and Waiheke Clubs.
Please RSVP to me with how many tickets you would like. These will be charged to your Club account and I will liaise with the organisers re the ticket sales.
Please note: this date does clash with our Seafood Cooking School event. However, for those not coming along to the Cooking School, this would be a good alternative night out!
