Geoff Smith Gave us an update on the Board Meeting that took place on 24 February2019.
Grants have been made to;
1. Rota Pacific
2. RYLA for sponsorship of club Rylarians,
3. In conjunction with Mangawhai to Samuel Orchard to undertake an Outward Bound course.
4. To the Taveuni School Scholarship to enable students to travel to school from the outer Fijian Islands.
Geoff also noted that the club meetings for the foreseeable future be; on the first Tuesday of each month an evening meeting at Remuera Golf club and the remaining meetings will be luncheon meetings at Ellerslie.
Peter Corner told the meeting that the Bob MacMillan Petanque Trophy will once more be on the line at the Epsom Bowls club on 20 March 2019.
Bill Strand updated us on forth coming social events including a weekend at Mangawhai (with some golf for those inclined) on the weekend of the 23rd of March 2019. To register your interest contact Ric Buchanan.
Bill also advised of an event on 30 May called "...lunch at the end of the line." Members meet at Newmarket, hop on the train and travel to "...the end of the line", lunch and then return to Newmarket.
