We're trying something different this week! ... Individual Rotary members are hosting "mini-meetings" in their homes during the evening of November 15. This will be a nice informal way for people to meet and better get to know others in the club, for discussions to go deeper, and hopefully for members who can't regularly make Friday morning meetings to reconnect. Members (and visiting Rotarians) can register to go to whichever one of the host homes they wish using the Google sign up sheet. If you cannot access the link, please email Alida Campbell. If you can't make Thursday evening, there is a Wednesday and a Friday evening option also.

  • Wed, Nov 14: Valerie Bobyk – Fellowship in Rotary: Full meal provided. Probably Chicken Main. Bring some Wine to Drink!
  • Thu, Nov 15, 6:30-8:00: Alex Russell – "Girls Night": A discussion on gender-based inequities in Rotary, in our city, and in our day-to-day lives. All genders and perspectives are welcome! Cookie decorating and Wine! One flight of stairs is required - no elevator in Alex's building.
  • Thu, Nov 15, 7:00-9:00: Alida Campbell – Rotary Kitchen Party! Discussion topic centered around how we can make a bigger community impact. Some snacks and drinks provided. Feel free to bring along anything for a kitchen party.
  • Thu, Nov 15, 6:30-8:30: Christine Ingham – Growing Up: How we can increase our impact on Interactors, and their impact on the world! Potluck! Bring a dish to contribute. One flight of stairs is required - no elevator in Christine's building.
  • Thu, Nov 15, 6:30-8:30: Chris Hornberger – RC Halifax Harbourside in the next 10 years. What is our BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal)? Chris provides Chili (veg and meat). Contributions of salad, crusty bread, apps and dessert are welcome. 16 steps.
  • Fri, Nov 16, 6:00-7:30 Lori Anne Jones – Brews and Bonfires: Are we a transformation catalyst? (As a community service organization.) Snacks and Drinks provided.

Note that each gathering is for a specific number of attendees, based on the host and location. The addresses are not shown, but will be sent to you after you sign up for the mini-meeting. There should be space for everyone to attend and we have some back-up hosts, in case we run out of space and need to create some new mini-meetings.
