Hello Sussex Rotary!

This Saturday, September 25th, you are invited to attend the Rotary Virtual Office from approximately 8 to 10 AM at the All Seasons Inn.

Q: What is the Rotary Virtual Office?
A: The Rotary Virtual Office is a chance to throw your laptop, smartphone, Hilroy scribblers, scrolls or papyrus into the car and work on a project or challenge in a 'virtual office' with other Rotarians. For some, that may mean plugging in a headset and plowing through data entry with an occasional conversation with others. For others, that may mean sharing dialogue on how to tackle a problem, professional or otherwise. Still for others, that may mean making some serious progress on your Rotary initiative.

Q: What is the purpose of the Rotary Virtual Office?
A: To help, serve and elevate each other. Consider it like 'success insurance'. The key idea of the Rotary Virtual Office is to progress your project or challenge, but share discussion where you think you might get value from additional insights- even if those insights come from outside of your industry or the normal work context. The project or challenge may be a Rotary project- but support won't be confined. If you have a business challenge, a project you want to progress or an initiative you need some help sticking to, free coffee awaits!

Q: What are some examples of projects or challenges tackled at the Rotary Virtual Office?
A: Some business challenges that have been previously discussed include:
  • Website migration discussions
  • ClubRunner administration walkthroughs
  • TripDraw spreadsheet evolution
  • Walkthrough on Rotary email and communication tutorial
  • District Public Image discussions with guests from Moncton Rotary, including Branding and ClubRunner tutorials
  • Bylaws drafting and ideation
  • Business consulting on personnel performance management and team development

Q: What do I have to bring to the Rotary Virtual Office?
A: A desire to be helped, or a desire to provide it. Help. Serve. Elevate.

Q: Is there really free coffee? I've heard the rumours, but can this really be?
A: Yes, these rumours are true. Who wouldn't provide coffee for friends?  Coffee is free. Steak and eggs, however, are not. :)

Yours in support,
Riles
