Safe Harbor, Sex Trafficking, and Sexually Exploited Youth

Speaker: Andrea White, Regional Navigator

Sexual exploitation of youth in Minnesota is commonly overlooked, misidentified as something else, and undocumented. For the first time, Minnesota youth who engage in prostitution are viewed as victims and survivors, not criminals. They will be treated with dignity and respect and directed to supportive services,  shelter, and housing that meet their needs and recognize their right to make their own choices.

As part of Minnesota's Safe Harbor Law and No Wrong Door model, each region of the state has a Regional Navigator and other services.  At this meeting, you will learn more about the services and more detail about the Safe Harbor law.

Marriott Courtyard Saints, free parking behind the hotel.
