  • We are holding our joint meeting with the Oshawa and Oshawa-Parkwood Rotary Clubs and we are inviting all Rotarians in District 7070 to a Rotary Friendship Day at Parkwood on Sept 25 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Speaker: Samantha George, Curator of Parkwood. Lunch and tours ( as long as no movie crew has booked Parkwood) of Parkwood. Our Rotary Club has canceled our Sept 26 meeting at the Golf Club, making Sept 25 truly a joint meeting of both clubs hosting this big event. Cost per person is $75. If you bring a guest, that person would be $60 . It is estimated that $15 of the $75 ticket would be donated to the Rotary Foundation and between the 2 clubs, you would receive award points towards your next Paul Harris Fellow. This Day is reminiscent of the District 707 Friendship Days hosted by the Oshawa Rotary Club in the 1950's and 60's when Colonel Sam was still alive and he hosted everyone at Parkwod. Members of both Rotary clubs decided to proceed and hold the joint meeting and host Rotary Friendship Day with the Oshawa Rotary Club on Sept 25 with the two clubs working together. Please go to the event page on the www.rotary7070.oorg website for Sept 25 and register you and any of your guests.
