Claudia is National Director of Operations and Events for Their Opportunity.

This organization was formed approximately ten years ago with a mandate to provide opportunities for needy children.  Children are referred by schools or the police.  Parents may refer as well – often finding information re this organization by “word of mouth” from others who have been helped.

On line Programs include sports interests with professional athletes participating; a mental wellness coping program.  Children who benefit from Their Opportunity are encouraged to give back (limited due to COVID) or pay it forward,

Funding support is received from Durham Community Service, sports teams ie Ottawa Senators, service clubs.

Motto is “Where It’s Raised is Where it Stays”. Currently planning to build a “first ever” playground at Waverly Elementary School.
