  • Ted Morrison – He has the sign up forms to show us how you can have the money taken out of your account and go directly to The Rotary Foundation, called Rotary Direct. It is also available on the rotary.org website under your MYRotary log in.

  • Janice Coupland – Dec 6 – Participation House Christmas Party - Oshawa Golf Club - 6:30 pm start - she is working with Past President David Mankiewiczon all of the details. Cost $40 per person. Sign up TODAY with Janice

  • Janice Coupland – Dec 13 – Club members Party at Kris and Janice condo in Ajax – please dress up for the party (shirt and tie gentlemen) . A tour of their condo and then to the Party in the Party room. Details and cost will follow shortly. Cost $ 25 per person. Sign up TODAY with Janice

  • Pres Dave announced District 7070 Rotary NIght at Whitby Dunlops game is November 19th – 6 pm start. Be there by 5:15 or so. Cost $10 per person. children free.

  • Pres Dave announced the Rotaract Club of DC-UOIT Meet and Greet at 7 pm to 9 pm at the 61 Charels Street Campus on Nov 17. They would like as many members for our club to be there to meet and greret the newest memebrs of the Rotaract Club

  • Sandy McDowell announced that we STILL need volunteers for the Nov 15 thru Nov 26 Christmas Lights and Parade event at the Kids Safety Village 5 to 8 pm and we need volunteer to decorate the Rotary Building this saturday Nov 12 from 9 am to noon .

  • Lennis Trotter announced that on Friday and Saturday, there will be a Santa Claus Parade in the Holiday Spirit Display at the Kids Safety Village from 5: 30 to 8 pm this weekend and next.

  • January 8th Kingston and Oshawa Generals hockey game. We need YOU to sell tickets for $19 each . Please start TODAY. And we will need a large number of volunteers to pass the bucket for the Kids Safety Village Durham that night. Speicla thanks to the Durham Region Police Association for paying the $5,000 fee for this to be DRPA Night at the Oshawa Generals in support of the Kids Safety Village of Durham Region. Larry Hurren will start a Volunteer Sign Up List for the Bucket Passing and Safety Village Promo Desk at the Game

  • Pres Dave announced that he was in the Remembrance Day parade on Nov 11 carring the Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood wreath and placed it on the Cenotaph in Memorial Park

  • Ted Morrison - Courtice Rotary Club have tickets for Men's Welsh Choir on November 19th at 3PM; - contact Marie Visser;

  • Pres Dave presented a fund raising opportunity - selling raffle tickets to win a trip to the Super Bowl game - those present agreed we should participate in this venture – Tickets STILL available . All cash and stubs in by Nov 22. Our club gets 25% of what we sell. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20 . Canadian Funds. ALL STUBS AND MONEY IN NOVEMBER 22. FINAL . FINAL

  • Past Pres Robbie Larocque announced that it is time to sell Cakes and Hams – oders must be in by Nov 25 at the latest. Delivery tentatively scheduled for the week of Dec 5. and Past District Governor Ted Morrison challenged anyone to outsell him and said you can have a nice bottle of your choice if you can beat sales of 80 hams. ALL ORDERS IN BY NOV 22. (LAST POSSIBLE TIME IS NOV 25 AT 10 AM)

  • Bob Koski – Beautiful weather US Election has come and gone the sun is still shining

  • Bob Stewart – Cubs won the world series went to his Dad’s grave and wrote on the headstone CUBS WON! Found out it was a permanent marker

  • Dave Andrews – thank you to Robbie more football tickets got purolated to his office

  • Hilda – her 15 year old grandsons turned 15 on November 15th

  • Ted – November is coming to a close – I have been doing a significant amount of talks one of the clubs asked “Who is Paul Harris?” we have some work to do

  • Janice – Ted you are such a fantastic representation of what a Rotarian should be and you have so much valuable knowledge to share – I know you are busy with your “talks” that is what happens when you are sooo good

  • Sandy – thank you to Ted and Dave re RLI it was a very interesting learning experience

  • Kim – Club Assessment were were the best club we are a STRONG club

  • Mike – not happy about Daylight Savings Time now I have to be on time

  • Hilda – glad to meet Souma welcome the guests re Trillium Gift of Life

  • Alan – four months of having a bad back – he is feeling pretty good right now

  • Bob – went to the GP good for another year!
