Pres Dave thanked Past President David Mankiewicz and Janice Coupland for the arrangements for the Participation House Dinner,

Pres Dave thanked Past President Kris Sachdeva and Janice Coupland for hosting the Christmas Party, welcoming us on a tour of their condo followed by a great evening in the Party room.

Pres. Dave is still looking for guest speakers, few dates are available in March and April.

Pres Dave announced that Cakes and Hams money is now due, Devon collecting. Thank you everyone.

Pres. Dave welcomed our two latest members Stanley and Chidinma

Our speakers next week are from Durham College, to tell us about the plans for the new Centre for Collaborative Education.

Larry Hurren and Lennis Trooter – January 8th is the Oshawa Generals Game fundraiser for the Kids Safety Village, Volunteers are needed. Volunteers should arrive at 5 p.m. and should wear white shirts or visibility. Our club has sold all the tickets allocated to us..

February 13th – Valentines’ Event at Wildfire restaurant 6 p.m.

Janice Coupland – At Midnight on Christmass Eve they found they had a plumbing leak and water damage at the condo. It finally got all fixed by 12/29 late afternoon, just in time for the family’s arrival.

Kris Sacheva – Spent New Years’ Eve at the Portuguese Club. He knew many there including Frank a former waiter at the Oshawa Golf Club, who wished well to all Rotarians.

Dave Andrews – Did a lot of walking over the holidays. Waiting for hip surgery to be scheduled.
-
Larry Hurren – Just before Christmas he had a 95 year old patient who wanted to see him before going to Florida. Patient survived the dental treatment and was happy to get all fixed up – he also still golfs.

Lennis Trotter – Had a good Christmas. Enjoyed the parties, and then had a Happy New Year.

Robbie Larocque – Pleased that his daughter’s hockey team were champions in their holiday tournament.

Ted Morrison – Sharon had an accident in a parking lot. It was not serious thank goodness.

Devon Biddle – Had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. Lots of snow at Balsam Lake.

Robert Kipling – Beautiful start to the new year spent at a winter wonderland at Balsam Lake.

Alan Nason – Had a cough for 4 weeks. Not that bad ow.

Myles Fisher – Glad to have made it to 2017.

Kim Boatman = Thanks to Kris and Janice. Food was great.

Marsha Chambers - $5 – Spent two days in Toronto with friends, and got her car winterized. Her old car was donated to the Kidney Foundation.

Bob Koski – Thanks to Kris and Janice. Loved the food. Best Christmas ever for Bob & family.
