ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  • Pres Dave welcomed everyone form Patricipation House and their staff and our souses and friends of Rotary to our 30th Annual Christmas Party with Participation House

  • Pres Dave thanke past President David Mankiewicz and Janice Coupland for arranging a very special Christmas evening filled with fun, laughter, good food, Carols and even a visit from Santa Claus

  • We will see you all on Dec 13 – Club members Party at Kris and Janice condo in Ajax – please dress up for the party (shirt and tie gentlemen) . A tour of their condo and then to the Party in the Party room. Cost $ 25 per person. Sign up TODAY with Janice

  • REMINDER: from PDG Ted Morrison that NOW (before the end of the calendar year) is a good time to give to our charity the Rotary Foundation.

  • REMINDER: from Past President Larry Hurren that time is running out and it NOW is the time to SELL tickets for the January 8th Kingston and Oshawa Generals hockey game. We need YOU to sell tickets for $19 each . Our profit is $5 per ticket and all proceeds go to the rennovation of the Kids Safety Village. Please start TODAY. Great stocking stuffers. And we will need a large number of volunteers to pass the buckets for the Kids Safety Village Durham that night. Special thanks to the Durham Region Police Association for paying the $5,000 fee for this to be DRPA Night at the Oshawa Generals in support of the Kids Safety Village of Durham Region. Larry Hurren is asking everyone to be a Volunteer and Sign Up for the Bucket Passing and Safety Village Promo Desk at the Game.

  • Pres Dave announced that Cakes and Hams – are now delivered and Treasurer Devon is awaiting your payment. Thank you everyone.

  • Pres Dave reminded the members to search for speakers that you feel will interest the Club. All Club members are on this Program Committee. Jan, Feb and March are filling up fast.

  • Pres Dave thanked everyone for taking part in last week's Fundraising Projects review . The final review reports to the members are scheduled for April 4, 2017. If anyone else has an idea to raise funds, please be our guest to form a committee, conduct the in depth research and review of budget, anticipated profit, planning, and volunteer hours requirements and be prepared to present it to the members on April 4. Thank you to everyone.

  • Pres Dave annuonced that we will be having the election of officers on January 3, 2017. If YOU would like to volunteer your service to our Rotary Club and allow your name to stand for election to become a President, Vice President or a Director of the Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood, please contact Ted Morrison of the Nomination Committee as soon as possible.
