Noel Edward McCann

Noel McCann is the Director of Planning and Government Relations for Canberra
Airport. In this position he works extensively with government, property economics,
and land use planning in a growing region. Included in his duties is the
management of community consultation.
Noel has worked for 19 years in the development of airports and for over 50 years
has gained experience as a strategic advisor on property development and real
estate values for the Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales.
Prior to joining Canberra Airport in 1998, Noel founded McCann & Associates in
Canberra (1978), and developed this business to be the largest valuation and
property advisory practice in the Canberra region. The business was later
purchased by CB Richard Ellis.
Noel’s ability to contribute is from a background of:
 founding and growing a small to medium sized business in the ACT;
 part time lecturer in valuation of real estate and land economy at the Canberra
Institute of Technology;
 property and infrastructure feasibility and operation;
 tourism and economic development within the region.
Noel is a Fellow of the Australian Property Institute; Past President of the
Australian Property Institute, ACT Division (1985 - 1987); Past President of the
Property Council of Australia, ACT Division (2001 - 2004); Past Canberra Business
Council Board member, and served as Convener of the Australian Airports’
Association Environmental Working Group 2001-2011.
