Greetings!

Thanks again Lady Grizzly for taking the controls last week! This coming Thursday marks are second in-person meeting at our new venue – The San Ramon Community Center Terrace Room (12501 Alcosta Blvd.). If you haven’t been there, the Terrace Room is located to the right as you enter the Community Center.

Please RSVP for all In-Person Meetings

Again, in order to help us in providing an accurate lunch count to our caterer for all of our in-person meetings going forward, we are asking members to please RSVP for that week. Please click on the link below to let us know – no later than Monday afternoon at 5PM - if you plan to attend the meeting this Thursday. We have tried very hard to keep the cost of our lunches to a minimum without compromising quality. The cost for lunch will be $25/person (understand that if we were staying at Crow Canyon CC, our per-person cost would be close to $40). If your plans change and you come to the meeting without an RSVP, the cost jumps to $30. Again, we simply need to make sure that we have enough but not too many meals to cover members and guests.  If you RSVP, you will be charged for lunch whether you attend or not.

** The following members have indicated their willingness to be charged for ALL in-person meetings (whether they attend or not) rather than RSVP each week:  Cheri Braga, Geoff Disch, Kathy Gailey, Chris Gallagher, Dennis Garrison, Guy Greco, Patti Hennigan, Terry Koehne, Colette Lay, Kerry Richard, Michael Roberts, Gary Sloan, Barry Toby, Norbert Walz, Glen Weber, Hermann Welm.

If you wish to be added to this list, please email Terry directly at tkoehne11@outlook.com.

Our meeting schedule for the next few weeks:

  • 9/2 - In-Person at the San Ramon Community Center (Terrace Room). Speaker is Kathy Chiverton, Executive Director, Discovery Counseling Center
  • 9/9 – DARK
  • 9/16 - In-Person at the San Ramon Community Center (Terrace Room). Speaker is Joe Gorton, City Manager, City of San Ramon

Reminder: Support for Victims of the Dixie Fire

We have received a request from District Governor Kathy Suvia asking for consideration of financial support to the Rotary Club of Greenville in assisting local residents there who have been impacted by the Dixie Fire.  Your Rotary Foundation Board has voted to approve $500 to this initiative, and are requesting that there be a match by Club Members so our Club would donate a total of $1,000.  We will 'pass the hat' at this Thursday's meeting.  Cash or Checks made to Rotary Club of Greenville.

Thanks for reading and hope to see you on Thursday!!!
