What a wonderful  blustery snowy day it is for Lakehead Rotary despite the wish for an early spring! Lakehead Rotary members gathered at the Valhalla Inn, SKAL lounge for today's meeting. Gail Brescia opened the meeting by welcoming all club members present. Paul provided club members with an overview of the boil water advisory situation on First Nation Reserves and spoke about how one reserve Northwest Angle 33 will complete a project worth $12.2 million to provide fresh water to the community of 200 people. The community has been under a boil water advisory for 5 years. Paul noted that the federal government has committed to upgrading water systems and eliminating the need for bottled water on reserve for approximately 50 First Nation reserves by 2021. It is hopeful that progress towards that goal will be achieved.

Gail Brescia then welcomed Kerry Wirkkunen who presented information to club members on CAA.
