Joe Chiarelli Candidate for Winnebago County Board Chairman

I was born and raised in Winnebago County. My wife Connie and I have
been married for 32 years. Together we have 2 adult children, Claudia and
Vince, and daughter in-law Shayna, and grandson Joseph.
Growing up I was educated through the Rockford Catholic schools, I
apprenticed through my father Vince and was certified a Master Tailor.
In 1999 I was designated as a Top 100 Tailors in the country.

I owned and operated Vince the Tailor for over 20 years (1982-2002).
I created a tailoring curriculum through Workforce Connections and Rock
Valley College for displaced workers and continue to teach tailors across
the region.

I am currently one of the managers at Mens Wearhouse where I manage
the store and the Tailor shop. From 1992-2007 I owned and operated my own Real Estate Brokerage
company. It was a Real Estate Development company that provided
development services for many developments in Winnebago County.

I served on the Rockford Zoning Board of Appeals and also served on the
Winnebago County Board of Appeals respectively.
In 2013, I was elected as 14th Ward Alderman and re-elected in 2017.
I Currently serve as 14th Ward Alderman in the City of Rockford and also
hold the Chairman position of the Codes and Regulations Committee for
the last 7 years.
