Supporting the USO is one of the biggest community service projects the Kiwanis Club of Atlanta members support. And on Friday, December 16, we need volunteers to help support the 8,000 soldiers coming through the Hartsfield Jackson International Airport in a 24 hour period!!!
We need people to help with the following shifts on Dec 16:
12.01 AM until 4 AM
4 AM until 8 AM
8 AM until 12 Noon
12 Noon until 4 PM
Volunteers will be handing out goodie bags with snacks, transporting items from the USO to the Delta Carousel Area, etc. Quite a bit of walking and standing required but the soldiers really appreciate the volunteers being there at all these odd hours to hand them goodies and wish them Happy Holidays and a great time at their well-deserved leave!
