John Selden is General Manager at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport.  As the leader of the world’s busiest and most efficient airport, John oversees airport operations as well as a multibillion-dollar capital improvement program that will promote its growth over the next 20 years.

John, who assumed his current position at ATL in October 2018, is a former Navy pilot who, among other assignments, served at the Pentagon and in Operation Desert Storm over his 20-year career. After retirement, John flew for American Airlines until taking his first airport management role at Republic Airport, the third busiest airport in New York State. In 2008, John joined John F. Kennedy International Airport. He rose to the position of Deputy General Manager in 2014, where he oversaw operations, maintenance, rail access, security, commercial development, and physical infrastructure investment.

John’s mission is to strengthen the role Hartsfield-Jackson plays as an economic catalyst for the region and gateway to the world.
